3A - My Entrepreneurship Story
The world of entrepreneurship is second nature to my family. My grandfather had started his own custom literature packing inc. and was able to retire at 55. Starting at the young age of eight, I watched as my pregnant mother quit her job as a realtor to start her own business to become a pilates studio owner. As she build her company from the ground up with only one of her associates, I was mesmerized. Her determination to succeed in the world of entrepreneurship taught me many important life lessons. For instance, I vividly remember her sitting at the desktop computer in our home office creating the logo for her company. She explained to me that having a logo that was able to grab people's attention is an important factor in brand recognition and drawing in costumers. Throughout the next 11 years, my mother had expanded her business and flourished in the world of entrepreneurship.
In a similar situation, my father had left his utility invoice audit company with a goal to be the best in his field. He was driven by the idea of being independent and enjoyed the freedom that being his own boss would entail. He had a belief that he could do what his old company did, but better. This resonated with me in my practical everyday life when it came to bettering myself in academics and extracurriculars.
I enrolled in ENT2023 to gain more knowledge on a subject that my family has valued for several generations. I feel as though I have an obligation to learn about the art of business and how to interact with customers. I'm ecstatic to master every facet of entrepreneurship that I can.

ReplyDeleteWhile reading your post I was impressed by your parents' ability to ultimately leave their current jobs, invest their time and result with two successful business that they believed in. These are the skills and mindset that business professionals need in order to grow and expand. In fact, the skills you probably obtained from learning from them will definitely help influence the inner business person out of you, as you said your family as a past in the business industry. It's great to see that you don't seem forced into this field and that you're very excited to learn how to be a successful entrepreneur.
